LUNAR NEW YEAR 2025

The animal for Lunar New Year in 2025 is the snake. This year is also known as the Year of the Wood Snake.

Explanation

The Chinese zodiac uses a 12-year cycle of animals, with each year represented by one of the 12 animals.

There are also five types of each animal, representing the five elements of Chinese culture: earth, wood, fire, water, and metal.

The Lunar New Year, also known as the Spring Festival or Chinese New Year, is a major holiday in China and many other Asian communities.

In 2025, the Lunar New Year began on January 29th, marking the end of the Year of the Dragon and the start of the Year of the Snake.

In Chinese culture, wood symbolizes growth, flexibility, and tolerance. People born in the Year of the Wood Snake are said to be resilient, courageous, and positive
